Do you know who invented electric Christmas lights? Come learn about the history of Christmas lights with Curatorial Registrar, Matt Andres. Free for Edison Ford members; included with museum ticket for non-members.


Live Holiday Music: Dec. 9

Enjoy live period holiday music performed by a variety of local groups. Singers will perform throughout the grounds on select nights. Free with admission to Holiday Nights.

Cartooning with Doug MacGregor: Dec. 10, 6:30-8:30 p.m.

Children of all ages will enjoy engaging with Santa as he introduces them to the wonderful world of cartooning. Renowned editorial cartoonist, children’s author, and illustrator Doug MacGregor has been delighting children as Jolly Old Saint Nick here at Edison Ford for the past six years. Free with admission to Holiday Nights.

Santa Claus is Coming to Edison Ford: Dec. 6, 6-8 p.m.

Whether they’ve been naughty or nice, kids can come tell Santa what they want for Christmas. This will be a great photo opportunity for parents! Free with Holiday Nights admission.

Children’s Holiday Crafts: Select Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, 6-8 p.m.

Watch children delight in the spirit of the season as they create a truly unique holiday ornament and take home a piece of Edison Ford history! Parents and children alike will treasure the handmade ornaments they create, all led by Edison Ford education staff dressed in festive holiday garb. Free with admission to Holiday Nights.

Garden Talk – Fun and Creative Terrariums: Dec. 10, 10 a.m.

Come learn how to create a terrarium! Our Garden Shoppe is stocked with all of the supplies needed to make your very own terrarium — or a gift for someone else. Cost: Edison Ford Members $10; non-members $15. To register contact Leeanne Criswell at or239-334-7419.

Director Tour to Henry Flagler Museum and Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens: Dec. 10, 12-11:30 p.m.

Join us for a tour of the Flagler Museum, dinner at Nick & Johnnie’s Palm Beach and walk through the gardens at the Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens while listening to relaxing violin music! The bus departs Edison Ford at noon and is scheduled to return at 11:30 p.m. Cost: Edison Ford Members $105; non-members $125.
